In Gaya, a tractor laden with sand went out of control and entered a house, resulting in the death of an elderly woman. The deceased woman was Rajmani Devi (55). The incident took place in Aima Bazaar of Khijarsarai police station area.
Lost control while trying to save bike rider
Regarding the incident, eyewitnesses say that a sand loaded tractor was coming at high speed from Gaya side. At the same time, while trying to save the bike rider who was coming at high speed from the opposite direction, the tractor entered the hut-like house. In this incident, a woman sitting outside the house was seriously injured. Local people told that at the time of the incident Rajmani Devi was standing outside her house on the roadside. The local people rushed there and hurriedly took the injured woman Rajmani Devi to the Community Health Centre, Khizarsarai for treatment, where the doctors declared Rajmani Devi dead.
Local people blocked the road
After the death of the woman, local people blocked the Gaya-Patna main road. On receiving information about the road jam, the local police reached the jam site. The family remained adamant on the road demanding compensation. The road jam could be ended after a lot of persuasion by the police. Then the police sent the body to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College cum Hospital for post-mortem.

Police say that after the incident the tractor driver fled from the spot. The tractor has been confiscated. Police is searching for the tractor owner as well as the accused driver. Police say that the CCTV installed in and around the incident site is being scrutinized. Very soon the accused will be identified and arrested.
